Established in 2004, West Cheshire Credit Union is a local co-operative which has gone from strength to strength as more people become aware of the advantages of saving and borrowing with a local Credit Union.
Like every Credit Union we offer easy to use savings accounts, including a Christmas Savers account and accessible affordable loans.
There is no need to travel into Chester to use the account. If you live or work in Cheshire West and Chester you can join by post, enclosing a cheque for the initial deposit and membership fee.
Deposits can be made at any Post Office and many local shops using our popular Pay Point card (minimum deposit £10). To find your nearest shop that accepts Pay Point visit paypoint
You can also save by standing order, cheque or cash at local offices or by payroll deduction from certain local employers including, Quinn Glass, Chester Zoo, Countess of Chester NHS Trust, Cheshire West and Chester Council and Chester and District Housing Trust.
As a not-for-profit organisation West Cheshire Credit Union puts its member's interests and needs first and any profit that might be made is returned to our savers as an annual dividend. (This payment is not guaranteed).
Our loans are granted on the basis of a member's savings record and affordablilty rather than credit history or a particular level of income. Loans are available from £50 to £7,500.
