Ellesmere Port & Neston Police News Bulletin
9 to 17 October 2021
If you have any CCTV, dash cam footage, etc., that you think may have captured something of relevance in relation to any of the below incidents, further information such as dates and times can be provided.
Incidents reported relating to BUSINESS premises:

  • Rossmore
  • Portside South – Entry gained into ‘Mersey Court’ compound by cutting hole into metal boundary fencing where a number of units have been attacked:
    • Unit 5 has wooden framed window forced open but no entry gained.
    • Unit 6 has padlock cut from side gate.  An untidy search made within an insecure container to the rear but nothing g taken.
    • Unit 2 has wooden framed window, to the front forced open to gain entry into office area. The offenders have also forced the wooden framed window open at the front of unit 2. They have then pushed open the unlocked metal bars situated on the inside of the window before climbing through the window leading them straight into the staff office. A brief search carried out but nothing appears taken.
Incidents reported relating to OUTBUILDINGS/GARDENS:

  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Dale Hey – 3 properties targeted during same time frame:
    • Padlocks to 2 sheds cut off to gain access.  2 bikes and 2 sets of golf clubs taken. (No further details).
    • Padlock cut off plastic storage container.  Nothing taken.
    • Entry gained into garage and number of power tools and bikes taken. (No further details).
Criminal Damage
Incidents reported relating to criminal damage, with the exclusion of damage to vehicles:

  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Braemar Court – Brick thrown through front window.
  • Exeter Road – Rubbish in shopping trolley set alight.
  • Whitby Road – Fencing smashed up. – Named suspect.
  • Rossmore
  • Station Road – A number of reports received relating to youths causing damage to the TU ‘Station Hotel’ and neighbouring building.
  • Monks Grove – Outer pain of double glazed window damaged. - *poss. same offender with a pellet gun.
  • Percival Road – Two properties both have windows to the rear with damage caused to the outer pane by what appears to have been a pellet. - *poss. same offender with a pellet gun.
  • Church Walk – Front window smashed.

  • Neston
  • Ladies Walk – Rock used to smash a hole in the toughened glass of a window at ‘Aldi’.
  • Hinderton Road – Unknown offenders have accessed farmland on 2 separate occasions during the week, causing damage to hedging and crops and dumped rubbish.
  • Frobisher Road – Unknown substance thrown over fence, which ignites and sets fire to a trampoline and pagoda.
  • Mayfield Gardens – Downpipe and guttering pulled down from block of garages.
  • Raby Park Road – 2 unknown offenders, using a moped damage to 2 bikes, (no further details) secured in bike rack at ‘Neston High School’ when unsuccessfully trying to remove the locks.
  • St. Pauls
  • Parklands – 2 unknown males on push bikes throw objects at window causing it to smash.
  • Forge Road – Object thrown at window causing it to smash.
Incidents reported relating to theft, with the exclusion of shop lifting & vehicle theft:

  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Cheshire Oaks – Lime green Cube Aim Pro, secured to fencing near to McDonalds drive through taken by unknown male.
  • Whitby
  • Chester Road – Carrera mountain bike, secured in stand outside ‘Ellesmere Port Hospital’ taken after lock cut off.
  • Ledsham and Manor
  • Hemsworth Avenue – Parcel left outside address taken.
Vehicle Crime
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT OF motor vehicles:

  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Malvern Avenue – Black Honda NC750X, DE69 SOA taken from in front of living room window.  Bike had a Givi fuel tank bag, which contained a black Frank Thomas open face helmet and black FT gloves. A rear Givi tail pack contained yellow waterproof trousers. – Unknown male, wearing a red helmet seen to remove the bike from the front of the address and push it down the road.  He then appeared to be doing something to the bike before riding off in the direction of Newnham Drive.
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT FROM motor vehicles:

  • Whitby
  • Maple Grove – Insecure Mercedes, parked on driveway entered and gym bag and wallet taken.
  • Dunkirk Lane – Vauxhall Astra entered by unknown means and laptop and JD bag taken from boot.
  • Thirlmere Road – Van, parked on driveway entered via rear doors causing damage.  Large quantity of power tools taken from within.
  • Parkgate
  • Mostyn Gardens – Honda Jazz has front registration plate, showing SK18 PHN taken.
  • Ledsham and Manor
  • Selby Green – Power lead for laptop taken after entry gained by unknown means in to Vauxhall Zafira.
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Mill Lane – Access gained into Ford Iveco and tree surgery tools, including hedge cutters and climbing gear taken.
Incidents reported relating to DAMAGE TO motor vehicles:
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Thornton Road – Citroen C3 has damage caused to door and sill. – Reported that a passing male had damaged a number of vehicles.
  • Rochester Drive – Toyota Aygo has glass in wing mirror smashed.
  • Arundel Court – Window smashed.
  • Whitby
  • Heath Avenue – Wing mirror kicked off Jaguar XF by unknown male offender within group of youths.
  • Sutton
  • Bebington Road – Kia scratched along driver side.
  • Sutton Way – Toyota Auris has 3 tyres damaged.
