School Parking

Alert message sent 17/09/2020 09:37:00

Information sent on behalf of Cheshire Constabulary

Good morning,

We are asking parents and guardians of schools in LEIGHTON to consider walking with their children to schools if they live within a closer vicinity. The roads become congested during pick up/ drop off times and we aim to keep them as clear as possible.

Mablins Lane Primary School- The Eight Farmers pub have alerted us that they welcome parents to park in their car park to relieve congestion. MABLINS LANE junction to WAREHAM DRIVE is our key hotspot that we aim to keep clear. We shall also be enforcing the parking on PARKERS ROAD.
Leighton Academy Primary School- We have had several messages regarding congestion on the road leading to JAMES ATKINSON WAY. Therefore, we ask parents and guardians to park safely and lawfully when collecting children. Outside the school, we remind users of the laybys that the stay there is 15minutes.
