Ellesmere Port & Neston Police News Bulletin
27th July to 5th August 2020
 
If you have any CCTV, dash cam footage, etc., that you think may have captured something of relevance in relation to any of the below incidents, further information such as dates and times can be provided.
 
Burglary
Incidents reported relating to RESIDENTIAL property:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Rossmore
  • Station Road – Front door damaged by unknown sharp object.  No entry gained.
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Ledsham and Manor
  • Ben Nevis Drive – Entry gained via insecure rear door. Keys to a grey Land Rover Range Rover, L555 JSH taken along with the vehicle. – Vehicle recovered in Blackburn with minor fire damage.
Incidents reported relating to OUTBUILDINGS/GARDENS:
 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Netherpool
  • Overpool Road – Boarding ripped off outside stairwell.  No entry gained.
  • Sutton
  • Torridon Grove – Garage door lock burnt and unsuccessful attempt made to gain entry. CCTV shows a blow torch being lit during the early hours of the morning at the garage.
Criminal Damage

Incidents reported relating to criminal damage, with the exclusion of damage to vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • New Bridge Road – lock cut off compound.
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Neston
  • Breezehill Road –Front double glazed bay window hit by unknown objects causing a number of holes in the glass.
  • St. Pauls
  • Whetstone Hey – Rubber matting on playground area set alight.
  • Sutton
  • Talbot Road – Group of youths have damaged fencing/post to two properties with road. – Named suspect.
  • Grange
  • Aldgate – Plant pot set alight during overnight period.
  • Princes Road – Outer pane of glass shattered in window.
Theft
Incidents reported relating to theft, with the exclusion of shop lifting & vehicle theft:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Rivington Road – General waste and recycling bins, belonging to ‘William Hill’ taken at some point during the past two weeks.
Vehicle Crime

Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT OF motor vehicles:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Stanney Lane – Black Honda Fes 125, SH57 OAC taken from driveway after steering lock removed.
  • Oil Sites Road – Bailey Pegasus GT65 caravan, SN69 HMU in White and blue taken from compound over weekend. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Ledsham and Manor
  • Ben Nevis Drive – Grey Land Rover Range Rover, L555 JSH taken after keys obtained during a burglary. – Vehicle recovered in Blackburn with minor fire damage.
  • Netherpool
  • Rossfield Road – Silver BMW X3 taken from ‘Specialist Mattress Systems Ltd’ site over weekend after padlock removed to gain access to compound. – Vehicle located in Helsby, 2 males arrested.
Incidents reported relating to DAMAGE TO motor vehicles:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Stanney Lane – Toyota, parked overnight in car park of ‘Stanney Lane Clinic’ found with slashed tyre.
  • Rossmore
  • Abbots Mews – Mercedes E220, parked on road has windows and wing mirrors broken.
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Neston
  • Brook Street – Audi A4, parked in lay-by by ‘Sainsburys’ has windscreen smashed. – Occurred during previous weekend and possibly linked to same offenders who damaged Citroen in car park on Chester Road.
  • St. Pauls - Pound Road – Hyundai Tucson, parked on residential road has windscreen damaged. – Named suspect.
