Ellesmere Port & Neston Police News Bulletin

17 to 26 May 2020
If you have any CCTV, dash cam footage, etc., that you think may have captured something of relevance in relation to any of the below incidents, further information such as dates and times can be provided.
Incidents reported relating to RESIDENTIAL property:
  • Ledsham and Manor
  • Chester Road – Patio doors at rear of property forced open to gain access. Several items of memorabilia taken.
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Hooton Road – Entry gained into property via insecure side kitchen door.  Untidy search made within property and mobile phone and cash taken.
Incidents reported relating to OUTBUILDINGS/GARDENS:
  • St. Pauls
  • Links Avenue – Whilst away from the garage for a matter of minutes unknown offender has walked in through open door and taken a silver/gold Carrera Crossfire.
  • Sutton
  • Heather Close – Rear garden accessed via side gate and attempt made to remove lawnmower from shed before being disturbed by the home owner.
Criminal Damage
Incidents reported relating to criminal damage, with the exclusion of damage to vehicles:

  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Whitby Road – Communal door at rear of property damaged by unknown means.
  • Cromwell Road –Wheelie bin set alight.
  • Warwick Court – Stone thrown at rear patio doors causing glass to shatter.  Dog much also thrown at front window.
  • Rossmore
  • George Street – 3 fires lit on Westminster Park by group of youths.
  • Grosvenor Mews – 2 bags of rubbish on the field set alight.
  • Grace Road – Tree in field set alight.
  • Sutton
  • Sutton Way – Living room window smashed. – Named suspect.
Incidents reported relating to theft, with the exclusion of shop lifting & vehicle theft:

  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Raby Court – Fishing chair taken from front garden.
  • Whitby
  • Chester Road – Mobile phone, in case left on side in toilets at ‘Morrisons’ has cash removed.
  • St. Pauls
  • Valley Drive – Unknown male walks up residential driveway and picks up 2 plants pots.  He then begins to walk out of the driveway with the plants before he is confronts and drops the plants.
  • Sutton
  • Hope Farm Road – Grey/blue Norco Optic 2017, left insecure on the precinct taken.
Vehicle Crime
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT FROM motor vehicles:

  • Rossmore
  • King Street – VW Beetle entered by male who has then attempted to gain access in to the glove box. – Male arrested.
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Denhall Lane – Kia Cee’d has rear passenger window smashed and handbag taken from rear seat.
Incidents reported relating to DAMAGE TO motor vehicles:
  • Grange
  • Sutton Way – Jaguar has side dented when side gate to flats opened onto it.
