Ellesmere Port & Neston Police News Bulletin
1 to 12 January 2020
If you have any CCTV, dash cam footage, etc., that you think may have captured something of relevance in relation to any of the below incidents, further information such as dates and times can be provided.
Incidents reported relating to RESIDENTIAL property:
  • Rossmore
  • John Street – Lock on rear kitchen door tampered with in an unsuccessful attempt to gain entry.
  • William Johnson Gardens – 2 screw holes found near to the lock area on a rear door.  No entry gained.
Incidents reported relating to BUSINESS premises:
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Stanney Mill Lane – Temporarily unoccupied offices have boarding removed from windows and further damage caused to glass panes to gain entry to the premises.  Nothing taken.
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Chester Road – Cellar door, at ‘Halfway House’ has lock forced off.  Alarm has sounded and offenders have left.
Criminal Damage
Incidents reported relating to criminal damage, with the exclusion of damage to vehicles:

  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Buckingham Drive – Youths have thrown stones which have cracked glass in window.
  • Rossmore
  • Bateman Close – Living room window smashed.
  • Fleming Street – Living room window smashed.
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • The village – Front door set alight. Jerry can left.
  • West Vale – Rock thrown through front window.
  • Neston
  • Ringway – Brick thrown through window.
  • Shakespeare Road – Top section of kitchen window found with small hole in glass panel.
  • St. Pauls
  • Chester Road – Large rock thrown through window of kitchen shop.  Oven on display in window area also badly damaged.
  • Station Road – Lock on front door damaged.
  • Tarporley Road – Male attended ‘St. Saviours Social Club’ and is disruptive, kicking out at pool cues causing them to break. – Named suspect.
  • Sutton
  • Summertrees Road – Glass in rear French doors damaged by pellet, which has caused damage to the outer pane.
Incidents reported relating to theft, with the exclusion of shop lifting & vehicle theft:

  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Cheshire Oaks – Whilst distracted a handbag, which had been placed on to a planter, taken.
  • Whitby Road – Blue Raleigh bike, left insecure in communal hallway taken.
Vehicle Crime
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT OF motor vehicles:
  • Strawberry
  • Cedardale Drive - White Peugeot Auto-Sleeper motorhome, PO68 EEZ, parked on residential driveway taken. – Recovered Altrincham, Greater Manchester.
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT FROM motor vehicles:

  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Marlborough Road – Vauxhall Vectra has both front and rear registration plates, showing YK07 KPF taken.
  • Alnwick Drive – Over 3 month period and Austin Mini has had wing mirrors taken and the front body panel damaged, possibly by a tow bar on a reversing vehicle.
Incidents reported relating to DAMAGE TO motor vehicles:
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Hylton Court – 2 separate reports received during the period of this report.
    • Passenger wing mirror kicked off Citroen C1 leaving it dangling from wiring.
    • Wing mirrors pulled off Vauxhall Astra.
  • Milton Road – 3 people seen throwing stones/mud and bending wing mirrors back on a Toyota Previa and Vauxhall Zafira causing damage.
  • Coliseum Way – whilst being driven out from ‘KFC’ a group of youths have approached a Vauxhall Corsa, spat onto the vehicle, and punched the wing mirror causing it to crack.
  • Marlborough Road – Ford S-Max has eggs thrown at it during the overnight period causing minor damage to the paintwork.
  • Garth Road – VW Polo has wing mirror kicked off after verbal altercation. – Named suspect.
  • Rossmore
  • Rossmore Road East – Caravan at ’Lakeland Motor Home Centre’ has rear tail light damaged by unknown means.
  • Nelson Road – During an incident of road rage the male driver of a BMW approaches Citroen Picasso and punches and kicks the wing mirror off.
  • Firenza Avenue – Audi A4 has door handle tampered with causing damage.
  • Wilkinson Street – Vauxhall Meriva has window smashed by unknown male.
  • Neston
  • Sidney Road – Vauxhall Zafira, parked at roadside has offside wing mirror kicked off by group of youths.
  • St. Pauls
  • Kings Road - 2 separate reports received during the period of this report.
    • Renault Clio has windscreen smashed.  Male dressed in black seen running away towards ‘The Red Lion’.
    • VW campervan has b rick thrown at side window numerous times, which although not smashing has caused damage.
  • Glenwood Road – VW Passat has coping stone through windscreen.
  • Tarporley Road – Hyundai 10 has windscreen smashed.
  • Forge Road – Mitsubishi Outlander has drivers side door and wing mirror scratched by unknown means.
  • Valley View – Vauxhall Corsa has window smashed.
  • Sutton
  • Rostherne Avenue – Owner has come out of property to find unknown male sitting in their Ford Fiesta.  The male ran off when confronted.  Nothing appears to have been taken.
Other incidents of note…
  • Grange
  • Grappenhall Road - Red Jet 450 moped, PO11 LHJ, found abandoned in alleyway. - Reported stolen from a front yard in Whitby Road on last weeks bulletin.
