Suspicious Activity - Dane Valley Police

Alert message sent 21/12/2019 17:09:00

Information sent on behalf of Cheshire Constabulary

Good afternoon,
We are contacting you to inform you of two reports this week of suspicious activity around properties in Holmes Chapel. The first report involved a person approaching a house in the early hours of the morning, the second involved two males and a transit van 'inspecting' a property and walking up the driveway for no apparent reason (doorbell was not rang etc).
Whilst most of us will be on wind down now for the festive period, we ask you to please not let your guard down. We would like to remind you to not leave any valuables or presents in sight through windows, and to ensure you are keeping your doors locked even during the day. If you have the chance, why not check on your neighbours? If they live by themselves or are elderly, they will appreciate the gentle reminder to keep their property safe too.
If you notice a suspicious activity over the next few days and would like to report it, please call 101. If there is a crime being committed then always contact us on 999.
Thank you, and Merry Christmas!
