Ellesmere Port & Neston Police News Bulletin
20th to 25th October 2019
 
If you have any CCTV, dash cam footage, etc., that you think may have captured something of relevance in relation to any of the below incidents, further information such as dates and times can be provided.
 
Burglary
Incidents reported relating to BUSINESS premises:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST
  • Rossmore
  • Rossmore Road East – Window pane smashed in door to gain access to business premises of ‘Lakeland Motor Homes/Addhire’.  Untidy search made of office area and 2 desktops and mobile phone taken.  Offenders disturbed when alarm has sounded. – 2nd incident reported this month.
 ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Village Square – During overnight period entry gained into 1st floor office area after window completely removed.  Tidy search made and cash float and steel safe taken.
 Incidents reported relating to OUTBUILDINGS/GARDENS:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST
  •  Ellesmere Port Town
  • Green Lane – Lock removed from shed to gain access.  Specialized Hard Rock bike taken.
Criminal Damage
Incidents reported relating to criminal damage, with the exclusion of damage to vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Denbigh Court – Brick thrown through window. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Neston
  • Brook Street – Padlock cut of side gate allowing access to rear yard area od ‘Neston Dry Cleaners’. – 2nd report of this happening within the month.
  • St. Pauls
  • Walkers Lane – Outer glass panel in front window shattered after being hit by a small pellet.
  • Valley View – 4 allotments sheds found alight.
Theft
Incidents reported relating to theft, with the exclusion of shop lifting & vehicle theft:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Rossmore
  • Abbots Mews – Key safe taken from front of property.
  • Joseph Groom Towers – Whilst sleeping in stairwell of first floor wallet taken by unknown offender.
Vehicle Crime
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT OF motor vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Netherpool
  • Rivacre Brow – Schools Peugeot Boxer van, parked within school grounds has passenger window smashed and bonnet taken.
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT FROM motor vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Grange
  • Budworth Road – Lock damaged on Vauxhall Combo van but no entry gained. 
Incidents reported relating to DAMAGE TO motor vehicles:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Whitby
  • Greenlea Close – BMW keyed along the side of vehicle. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Sutton
  • Eccleston Avenue – Vauxhall Corsa has glass in wing mirror smashed.
  • Grange
  • Mill Lane – Motorcycle dumped and set alight.  Completely burnt out so unable to provide and vehicle specifics.
Other incidents of note…

ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Sutton
  • Rostherne Avenue – Elderly female walking along road during daylight hours has purse ripped from her hands by a passing male on a push bike.
