Ellesmere Port & Neston Police News Bulletin
15th to 23rd December 2018
  
If you have any CCTV, dash cam footage, etc., that you think may have captured something of relevance in relation to any of the below incidents, further information such as dates and times can be provided.
 
Burglary
Incidents reported relating to RESIDENTIAL property:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Strawberry
  • Yeoman Way – Entry gained through a rear insecure door.  Search made within all kitchen cupboards and cash taken.
  • Rossmore
  • Percival Road – 3 males seen in back garden.  Door handle of property tried.  Males left when bedroom light switched on. 
Incidents reported relating to OUTBUILDINGS/GARDENS:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Whitby
  • Walnut Grove – Attempt made to entry detached garage via side window causing damage to the wooden frame.  An attempt has then been made to remove the roof of the shed, again with no entry having been gained.
Criminal Damage
Incidents reported relating to criminal damage, with the exclusion of damage to vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Brancepeth Court – Window in communal hallway smashed by unknown means.
  • Rossmore
  • Station Road – Window of ‘Station Hotel’ smashed by unknown means.
  • John Nicholas Crescent – 2 unknown offenders seen trying to cause further damage to window which had been smashed on previous occasion.
  • Grafton Road – Garden fence and rear door damaged. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • St. Pauls
  • Whetstone Hey – Stone thrown at window causing chip in glass.
  • Chester Road – Damage caused to door handle of ‘Jones and Chapman Estate Agents’.
Theft
Incidents reported relating to theft, with the exclusion of shop lifting & vehicle theft:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Coliseum Way – Tablet computer placed on table within ‘Burger King’ taken when owner distracted. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Neston
  • Liverpool Road – Christmas decorations and garden ornaments removed from garden.
  • Ledsham and Manor
  • Berwick Road West – Male and female offence enter ‘The Quality Hotel’ and cause damage to Christmas decorations and steal bed linen. – 2 named suspects.
  • Sutton
  • Singleton Road – 8 pedigree baby Giant Continental rabbits removed from hutch during overnight period.  Colour of rabbits classed as 3 x yellow and 5 x blue.  Unknown as to whether they are male or female due them only being 11 weeks old.
Vehicle Crime
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT FROM motor vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Whitby
  • Chester Road – Vauxhall Corsa, parked on car park of ‘The Groves Sports & Social Club’ has window rear window smashed to gain entry and amplifier removed from boot. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Neston
  • Station Road – Vauxhall Corsa, parked on car park area has rear nearside window smashed to gain entry.  Search made within vehicle and handbag and purse taken. 
Incidents reported relating to DAMAGE TO motor vehicles:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Kinsey Road – Ford Galaxy, parked on car park of ‘Sainsburys’ keyed along length of drivers side.
  • Marina Walk – Nissan NV200 has small window smashed. 
  • Civic Way – Peugeot 3008, parked on car park scratched along the length of the passenger side of the vehicle.
  • Kinsey Road – Vauxhall Corsa, parked on car park at outlet village has tyre slashed by a male who had been involved in an earlier altercation. – Male arrested.
  • Whitby
  • Damage caused to vehicles on consecutive Saturday evenings around 11pm.
    • 15th Dec - Birkett Avenue – Hyundai IX20, parked on residential driveway has wheel trim thrown at it causing denting to bonnet.
    • 22nd Dec - Weaver Road – Unknown item thrown at Mazda 2 which has smashed window.  
  • Strawberry
  • Capenhurst Lane – Ford transit Courier, parked in car park of ‘ The Old Wirral Hundred’ has front and rear tyre slashed by unknown offender.
  • Rossmore
  • Lower Mersey Street – Audi A1 Sport TFSI, parked in car park of ‘Holiday Inn’ scratched along body work with unknown implement. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Neston
  • Brook Street – Mini Cooper, parked in car park has nearside wing mirror smashed.
  • Parkgate
  • Earle Drive – Vauxhall Astra found on fire, completely burnt out. – No further details at this time.
  • St. Pauls
  • Alvanley Road – Car windscreen smashed and bent back with a plank of wood being left in the windscreen.  No details of vehicle at this time.
  • Sutton
  • Horstone Road – Rear window of Peugeot 107 smashed by unknown implement.
  • Grange
  • Earls Gardens – VW Polo attacked with a baseball bat by male passenger on a motorbike causing extensive damage.  The male then gets back onto the motorbike and is driven away.
