News Bulletin

Runcorn Local Policing Unit, Norton North

 

October 2018

*local PCSO for the area has been on restricted duties throughout October, the area is currently being covered by resilience PCSOs and the local Beat Manager*

Crime update –

No further reports of vehicle crime since the flurry of theft from motor vehicle incidents early in the month (mentioned in September).

 

ASB/criminal damage –

There have been a number of calls regarding off-road motorbikes on the Stockham Lane/Town Park/Southampton Way areas of Norton North… These incidents are being looked into by the OP Scrambler team at Runcorn *information on where the bikes are being stores and/or who is riding are vital to seizing these bikes without putting members of the public at risk during pursuits.*

There has been an increase of reports of youths firing fireworks in similar areas to those mentioned above, this is common for this time of year. During bonfire night we have a large number of extra patrols in Halton to deal with the expected demand. *if you have any information on who may be selling fireworks to youths or buying fireworks on their behalf please contact 101 or let us know via one of our social media channels.*

On 17th October at approximately 18:15 a window at Murdishaw Community Centre was smashed by youths. CCTV from the centre will be seized and images of the offender will be circulated on the Police caught on camera system.

 

Suspicious activity –

There has been a single report of drug dealing in the Haywood Crescent area. Youths aged approx. 17 years old, most evenings. If you have any further info on this please make us aware.

 

Roads Policing –

No incidents of note. If you have any issues of speeding in your area please contact us and let us know as it may be possible to apply to have the road coded for speed enforcement.

Thursday 29th November 1700-1800hrs
