Ellesmere Port & Neston News Bulletin
9th to 17th June 2018
If you have any CCTV, dash cam footage, etc., that you think may have captured something of relevance in relation to any of the below incidents, further information such as dates and times can be provided.
Incidents reported relating to RESIDENTIAL property:
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Croft Court – Access gained to flat via insecure door.  White Samsung mobile phone taken from within.
  • Elm Court – Unknown person has entered office/show room and removed a cash box from the desk drawer.
  • Whitby
  • Chester Road – Occupants disturb male attempting to force front door lock.  Male runs off and a vehicle is then heard to turn around quickly before driving of in the direction of the town centre.  Damage found to both front and rear door casings as well as the security light next to the front door.
  • Warrington Avenue – Two addresses targeted during same time frame –– CCTV shows 2 male offenders, believed to be same offenders as attempt at Chester Road.
    • Damage caused to kitchen door lock and front door lock in attempt to remove them.
    • UPVC door forced open to gain entry.  Tidy search made in the kitchen area.  Watch and 2 sets of car keys taken. Grey Vauxhall Insignia SRI, BF66 MWO taken using keys. – Watch located on driveway to property.
  • Rossmore
  • Rossfield Park – 2 houses on building plots entered and lights and sockets taken. 
  • Ledsham and Manor
  • Hambledon Close – Lock smashed off rear kitchen door.  No entry gained.
  • Ross Drive – Entry gained into property by melting the lock on a rear upvc door.  Keys taken to a red BMW m240i coupe, DE67 MBF which has then been taken. – Vehicle shown as being in the Rock Ferry area around 4am.
Criminal Damage
Incidents reported relating to criminal damage, with the exclusion of damage to vehicles:

  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Ashfield Road – During the early hours 2 house bricks thrown at the front window of house.  First hits window. Second smashed through window, landing on the living room floor.
  • Arundel Court – Door handles snapped off exterior doors. 
  • Sutton
  • Sutton Way – Locks damaged on 2 garage doors, within garage block.
  • Summertrees Road – Stone thrown at lounge window causing the outer pane of glass to shatter.
  • Grange
  • Faraday Road – Brick thrown through window.
Incidents reported relating to theft, with the exclusion of shop lifting & vehicle theft:

  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Trinity Road – Milk taken from outside address. -  CCTV shows male, approx. 40 years on push bike following milk delivery van, once driven off the male takes the milk.
  • Whitby
  • Stanney Lane – Grey Carrera mountain bike, secured to bike stand at ‘Ellesmere Port Sports’ Village’ taken along with lock.
  • Stanney Lane – Tom tom Verona sports watch taken from changing room of ‘Ellesmere Port Sports Village’.
  • Rossmore
  • Merseyton Road – Insecure blue and white Merida Crossway taken. – No further details.
  • Hallwood Walk – Black Carrera mountain bike, secured to metal fence taken after lock cut off. 
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Shotwick Lane – During weekend period chain cut on security fencing to access building site at ‘The Yacht’. Fork lift truck started to access a cement mixer, which has been taken.  An unsuccessful attempt has been made to enter one of the containers leaving scratch marks. – CCTV shows a flatbed Transit in the area at the time of the theft.
  • Burton Road – Milk taken from outside kitchen door at Neston Primary School by known male offender.
Vehicle Crime
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT OF motor vehicles:

  • Whitby
  • Warrington Avenue - Grey Vauxhall Insignia SRI, BF66 MWO taken after keys obtained during a burglary.
  • The Green – Silver Vauxhall Astra, BU15 KNG and silver Vauxhall Tigra, MW56 LHA taken after keys obtained during a house party. – Named suspects.  Vauxhall Astra was located abandoned at J9 of the M53 with accident damage to the front. 
  • Ledsham and Manor
  • Ross Drive – Red BMW m240i coupe, DE67 MBF taken after keys obtained during a burglary.
  • Netherpool
  • Ferguson Avenue – Black and red Lexmoto Titan, MA17 BWF, secured outside property with disc lock attached to front wheel taken by unknown offenders. – Bike believed to have been seen since being ridden around the Rossmore Road area with paper obscuring the registration plate.
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT FROM motor vehicles:
  • Netherpool
  • Bailey Avenue – Hyundai has front registration plate, displaying DA10 NNT taken. 
Incidents reported relating to DAMAGE TO motor vehicles:
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Colwyn Close – Vauxhall Corsa has rear windscreen smashed by unknown offender.
  • Coliseum Way – VW Polo, parked in car park scratched along length of drivers side.
  • Rossmore
  • Wharf Lane – Vauxhall Corsa, parked in rear communal car park set alight by unknown means causing it to be completely burnt out.  Due to the intensity of the flames and Audi A4, parked next to it was also damaged.
