Burglary
 Incidents reported relating to RESIDENTIAL property:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Rossmore
  • Westminster Road – Entry gained into flat and a watch and foot items taken. – Named suspect. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Parkgate
  • Hawthorn Road – Entry gained via an insecure front door. Tidy search made and IPhone 6, laptop, handbag containing cash and 2 packets of cigarettes taken.
  • Hawthorn Road – Porch entered via an insecure door.  Ladies Jack Wolfskin coat and mens Berghaus fleece taken.
  • Ledsham and Manor
  • Hillcrest Road – Home owner disturbed by a noise and upon checking kitchen sees an unknown male peering through the window.  Rear door of address is then seen to be ajar.  The offender has run off along Berwick Road.
  • Hillcrest Drive – Rear door forced to gain entry.  Jewellery, IPhone 8 and 2 sets of car keys taken (vehicle not taken).
  • St. Pauls
  • Clayhill Green – Entry into first floor flat via insecure door.  Games console and controller taken.
  • Sweetfield Road – Entry gained via insecure front door. Pile of coats, situated on banister removed.  Coats located dumped further down the street with the pockets emptied but items left with coats.  House keys and cigarettes were only items taken.
  • Links Avenue – Home owner has heard the front door opening and upon going to investigate found 2 males routing through side board.  Males made off upon being seen.
  • Heath Lane – Rear patio door forced to gain entry.  Keys to a black VW Golf, NY62 HXB and a white VW Golf, NL14 WRG taken along with the vehicles. – NY62 HXB, black VW Golf was located abandoned further down the road. NL14 WRG, white VW Golf located 22nd Feb on County Road, Liverpool displaying false registration plates – Female arrested.
  • Sutton Way – 2 temporarily unoccupied flats have front doors forced to gain entry.  Sofa left in one of the flats slashed.
  • Grange
  • Saltersgate – Rear garden entered by lifting up fence panel.  Lock barrel removed from rear door but the offenders has then been disturbed by the home owner. 
Incidents reported relating to OUTBUILDINGS/GARDENS:
 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Elm Road – Hatch and padlock jemmied from garage door.  Nothing appears to have been taken.
  • Netherpool
  • Seymour Drive – Bolts forced on garage door to gain entry. Items taken include mountain bike, jet washer, power drills and 2 building site radios taken.
  • Straker Avenue – Locks broken off garage door.  Blue and white Honda CRF 250 off road bike taken from within.
  • Grange
  • Barnston Avenue – Unknown offenders have entered garage and removed 2 off road bikes and crash helmets.  The bikes were a blue and white Yamaha YZF and a white and yellow Husqvarna.  Both bikes have been pushed out to the Festival Park area where they have then been ridden away.
Criminal Damage
Incidents reported relating to criminal damage, with the exclusion of damage to vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Cambridge Road – Damage caused to front door by unknown means.
  • Kingsley Road – Rear kitchen window and glass indoor smashed. – Named suspects.
  • Alnwick Drive – Bins and chairs in rear garden area of ‘Stanney Grange Community Centre’ set alight.  Bag of rubbish to front of premises also set alight.
  • Alnwick Drive – Bin to rear of old Winghalf PH set alight.
  • Whitby
  • Orchard Road – Pot thrown across the front of property scratching the bathroom window ledge and cracking the bracket on the drainpipe.
  • Rossmore
  • Worcester Walk – Guttering ripped of garage by unknown offender/s. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • St. Pauls
  • Sutton Way – Damage caused to cupboard door next to door into flat.
  • Smithy Lane – 2 unknown males on a small moped ram front gates of communal carpark to gain entry.  Entry unsuccessful and males leave heading towards the motorway.
  • Sutton
  • Hope Farm Road – Unknown substance put into lock on door causing damage.
  • Sutton Way – Male damaged window in centre of door.  TV in communal hallway also damaged. – Male arrested.
  • Grange
  • Princes Road – Male being ejected from ‘Madisons’ due to level of intoxication kicks causing damage.
  • Faraday Road – Stone thrown through front living room window.
Theft
Incidents reported relating to theft, with the exclusion of shop lifting & vehicle theft:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Princes Road – Unattended wheelchair taken from front garden.
  • Cheshire Oaks – 3 males, described as wearing dark clothing with their faces concealed have entered ‘Carphone Warehouse’ and removed a quantity of high value mobile phones.
  • Buckingham Gardens – Ladies ‘Cyclo’ bike, secured to a tree in the front garden taken after tree broken to access it.
  • Civic Way – 2 youths witnessed attempting to break a bike off the cycle rack outside the library.  Chased away by member of the public.
  • Whitby
  • Whitby Park – Insecure Carrera Hellcat mountain bike taken.
  • Rossmore
  • Percival Road – Blue, grey and copper coloured Carrera Vengeance mountain bike taken from communal area of flats after lock removed. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Parkgate
  • Leighton Road – Entry into rear open plan garden and lawn roller removed.
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Hooton Road – 2 bikes taken from Hooton Railway Station.  No further details.
Vehicle Crime
Incidents reported relating to theft/attempt THEFT OF motor vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Newnham Drive – Mobile burger trailer taken from outside property. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Ledsham and Manor
  • Dunmore Crescent – Insecure Triumph Bonville moved from side of address and tampers with ignition wiring.  Vehicle found abandoned further down road.
  • Netherpool
  • Straker Avenue - Blue and white Honda CRF 250 off road bike taken from a garage burglary.
  • St. Pauls
  • Heath Lane – Black VW Golf, NY62 HXB and white VW Golf, NL14 WRG taken after keys obtained during a burglary. – NY62 HXB, black VW Golf was located abandoned further down the road. NL14 WRG, white VW Golf located 22nd Feb on County Road, Liverpool displaying false registration plates – Female arrested.
  • Cedar Avenue – Home owner has observed a male walking down the side of the property where a motorbike has been chained up and covered.  The male has lifted the cover off the bike before being disturbed by the home owner banging on the window.  He has then left the area on a moped with another male.
  • Grange
  • Barnston Avenue – Blue and white Yamaha YZF and a white and yellow Husqvarna off road bikes taken after vehicles stolen in a garage burglary.

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Holly Road – Hyundai has front registration plate, showing DY14 OHL taken. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Parkgate Road – Secure Ford Transit, parked on carpark of ‘Tudor Rose’ has rear lock drilled through to gain entry.  Untidy search made within and large quantity of tools taken from within.
  • Ledsham and Manor
  • St. Stephens Gardens – Insecure Mercedes CLA, parked on residential driveway found with all doors open and laptop and gym bag taken from boot.
  • Horbury Gardens – Insecure Lexus IS 300 entered via front passenger door.  Loose change removed from centre console.  Bonnet and boot catches released but nothing further appears to have been taken.
  • Berwick Road West – Secure Ford Transit, parked on carpark of ‘The Quality Inn’ has lock on offside front door forced to gain entry.  Rucksack containing car keys, lunch box, flask and site keys taken.
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Chester Road – Peugeot Partner van, parked on car park of ‘Premier Inn’ has nearside front window smashed to gain entry.  Sat. nav. taken.
  • St. Pauls
  • Hillfield Road – Secure Vauxhall Corsa, parked on residential driveway entered by unknown means.  Radley prescription sunglasses, lip gloss, chewing gum and bottled water taken.
  • Overpool Road – Toyota Avensis has rear registration plate, showing T137 FLG taken.
  • Sutton
  • Rostherne Avenue – Saab 9-3 has front registration plate, showing YK56 OSA taken. 
Incidents reported relating to DAMAGE TO motor vehicles:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Wellington Road – Vauxhall Astra van, parked on carpark at rear of the market has both wing mirrors damaged with the glass being broken and the rear wiper blade removed.
  • Coliseum Way – Renault Clio, parked on retail car park has deep scratches made into the bodywork on the bonnet, rear nearside door and rear wheel arch by an unknown implement
  • Eton Road – Vauxhall Astra has rear windscreen smashed by bricks. – Named suspect.
  • Rossmore
  • Swale Road – Peugeot Partner, Parked on residential driveway has rear windscreen shattered leaving a small hole, possibly made by an air pellet.
  • Shephard Close – Fiat scratched along bodywork. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Ledsham and Manor
  • Green Lane – Toyota Aygo scratched across bonnet.
  • Netherpool
  • Netherpool Road – Kia Sportage, travelling along road hit by unknown object causing small dent in the nearside door.
  • Straker Avenue – Audi A3, parked on driveway has front windscreen smashed with a brick which has then been left on the roof of the vehicle.
  • North Road – Vauxhall Corsa, parked on the main staff carpark at Vauxhall Motors has orange/red gloss paint thrown over the front of the vehicle.
  • Sutton
  • Ringway – Vauxhall Mokka has front window smashed with a paving slab.
Other incidents of note…
  • Cromwell Road – Unknown male offender has approached female in alleyway during the hours of darkness. He has demanded she hand over her bag and phone.  After searching through the bag he has run off.  Nothing taken.
  • Flatt Lane – Youths in caged football area of the park approached by male who makes threats with a knife to hand over his bike.  Red Kona Precept taken by male. – 2 males arrested.
