Ellesmere Port & Neston News Bulletin
29th July to 4th August
 Incidents reported relating to residential property:



  • Sutton
  • Grappenhall Road – Entry gained by smashing glass in rear door and using keys left in lock to open.  Search made and cash taken. – Male arrested.

Incidents reported relating to business premises:



  • Neston
  • Raby Park Road – Old Neston High School building entered by unknown means and damage caused within. -  This has reoccurred over a number of days.
  • Longacres Road – Unknown offenders have climbed a 7ft security fence to gain entry in ‘Jumpin Josephs’, then gaining entry into a shed via an insecure window. Drinks and confectionary have been taken. – CCTV shows offenders to be 4 youths who have left the area on push bikes.

Incidents reported relating to outbuildings/garden:



  • Neston
  • Quarry Road – Shed entered by unknown means and 2 cases of Proseco taken.
  • Grange
  • Sutton Way – Entry gained into shed by unknown means and quantity of fishing equipment and Carrera mountain bike taken.
Criminal Damage 
 Incidents reported relating to criminal damage, with the exclusion of damage to vehicles:


  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Woodfall Lane – Unseen offender has entered garden and cut down several trees leaving branches, etc in situ.
  • Grange
  • Festival Road – Wheelie bin set alight in the park.
 Incidents reported relating to theft, with the exclusion of shop lifting & vehicle theft:


  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Stafford Gardens – Voodoo mountain bike taken from rear garden.


  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Heath Lane – Offender/s have climbed over padlocked gate into garden nursery.  Strip lights and battery charger taken.
  • Netherpool
  • Gateacre Court – String of pink wicker solar lights and solar panel taken from communal garden area.
Vehicle Crime 
 Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt theft from motor vehicles:


  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Wellington Road – Land Rover Range Rover, whilst parked on the ‘Asda’ carpark has front registration plate, bearing MJ53 WAL taken.


  • Ledsham and Manor
  • Rudstone Close – 2 separate vehicles entered in this area.  1st - Insecure Vauxhall Astra, parked on residential driveway entered.  Glove box searched through but nothing taken. 2nd – Secure London Taxi TXII entered by unknown means. Search made within but nothing taken.
  • Penistone Drive – 2 separate vehicles entered in this area. 1st - Entry gained into secure Seat Toledo by unknown means and Stanley Fatmax cordless drill, drill bits and socket set taken. 2nd – Insecure Renault Clio entered and handbag taken from foot well.
  • Wetherby Way – Entry gained into secure Toyota Auris by unknown means and Ipas Air, sunglasses, Tom Tom sat. nav. And CDs taken.
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Station Road – Hyundai i800, parked in car park of Hooton Railway Station entered by unknown means.  Dash cam taken.
  • Netherpool
  • Matterhorn Road – Vauxhall Corsa has rear registration plate, bearing DF14 ZPL taken.

Incidents reported relating to damage to motor vehicles:



  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Stoke Gardens – Vauxhall Mokka has windscreen smashed.
  • Rugby Road – Volvo parked on residential driveway has damage caused to bodywork after stones thrown over vehicle. – Repeat victim.


  • Neston
  • Chester High Road - Land Rover Range Rover and VW Polo, parked on driveway have damaged caused to both the bodywork and tyres.
  • St. Pauls
  • Parklands – Vauxhall Vectra scratched along the passenger side of vehicle.
Other incidents of note... 
  • Arson – Fire at disused school building to the rear of St. Saviours Primary School, Seacombe Drive. – 2 males arrested.
  • Eric Fountain Road – Land Rover Discovery found abandoned and well alight near to substation.
