Crime prevention - Bank Holiday weekend 2nd May

Alert message sent 29/04/2016 12:37:00

Information sent on behalf of Cheshire Constabulary

Hello and good afternoon, please see the below crime prevention advice for this coming bank holiday weekend.

  • When you go out, always lock the door and close the windows
  • Use window locks, especially on older windows
  • If you have deadlocks, use them
  • Don't leave spare keys outside, in a garage or shed, and put all keys out of sight in the house
  • Use timers for lights and radios if you need to be away from home overnight
  • Visible burglar alarms, good lighting, and carefully directed and limited security lighting can act as deterrents

Last bank holiday weekend Cheshire Police saw a rise in burglaries in Wilmslow and Alderley Edge so please be extra cautious and observant.

Please call 101 (non-emergency) or 999 (emergency) if you need to report anything suspicious.

Many Thanks

PCSO Sarah Stanley
