Message from Handbridge Park Officer PCSO Fox

Below is a brief outline of the crimes that have happened around the Handbridge Park Ward between 07/02/15 and 17/02/16 which are of interest or have an effect on the local communities

1) Lache Lane – Between 06/02 – 15/02 – Attempts made in the overnight period to get into out buildings of properties under renovation and items taken.

2) Curzon Park South – Theft from motor vehicle -  09/02 Approximately 02.00 – Low value items taken from insecure vehicle on driveway.

3) Eaton Road, Handbridge – Theft from motor vehicle – 12/02 16.00 – 13/02 09.15 – Low value items taken from insecure vehicle on driveway.

4) Hartington Street, Handbridge – Theft of Moped – 09/02 17.30 – 10/02 10.45 – Locked and secured moped taken from outside address.

Please remember to lock your vehicles and make sure there are no items of value on display when you leave your vehicle. The vast majority of theft from motor vehicles reported to the Police are from people who have not locked their vehicles. If a thief decides to break into a vehicle it is usually because they have seen an item of value to make it worth breaking into a vehicle to steal. If you take the two simple preventative measures of locking your vehicle and removing any valuable items from display you will dramatically reduce your chances of being a victim of this crime. Generally this type of crime will be committed by someone just trying door handles and if a vehicle is locked and no valuables can be seen they will just move on and try the next vehicle.

Please contact us on e mail christopher.fox@cheshire.pnn.police.uk or 101 if you have any issues to report or want to provide any information on people committing criminal activities in your local area.

Chris Fox (Police Community Support Officer for Handbridge Park)
